Here are answers to common questions we receive about motorcycle transport between Johannesburg, Cape Town, KwaZulu Natal, Free State, Central Karoo, Garden Route and Eastern Cape
Are you Insured?
Yes we have a special Insurance policy for “Goods in Transit” which is specifically set up to cover us for the Loading, Offloading and Transport of your Motorcycle.
Do you need the keys for my Motorcycle?
We tell customers that it is nice to have the keys for many reasons. Firstly, we do not require the key to load the Motorcycle. We use specialised Motorcycle Ramps and have a tried and tested technique of loading Motorcycles easily and safely regardless of size and weight. Secondly, many of our regular customers understand that our service go beyond just transport. Once the Motorcycle arrives in Cape Town or Johannesburg especially if we know that it has been shipped for a Tour or a Adventure Ride, then we like to turn the ignition on just to check that the battery and everything else is in order. If it is a newer bike and we are familiar with the model then we often start the bike just to check that it starts so that if there were any issues then we can advise our customer ahead of time that the battery is flat (for example). Thirdly, in the unfortunate event of a fire or other emergency it would be far easier and quicker to move the motorcycle away from danger if we had the key. Many customers who use a Motorcycle Transport Service for the first time often fear that the Motorcycle will be ridden and this is certainly not the case. We are a very experienced, professional company that has transported 1000’s of Motorcycles and you can be assured that we have only our customers in mind.
Do you have a Ramp?
Yes! we have multiple options of ramps that we use depending on if we are loading a Motorcycle, Golf Cart or Side by Side.
I live in a Culdesac, how big is your Vehicle and are you coming with a Trailer?
Depending on what Province or Suburb we are collecting or delivering your Motorcycle there are varying answers to that question. If we are collecting a KTM300 from you and you live in Cape Town nearby our home base then we might collect your bike with a Bakkie and Ramp. If we are delivering that KTM300 to you in Sandton to your home address then we will very likely arrive with Bakkie and Long Motorcycle Trailer. If you are in Cape Town or somewhere up the Garden Route we might collect or Deliver with a Bakkie and a Easy Loader Motorcycle Trailer or if you are on a major route then it could be a big “Rig” like a Bakkie and a long Motorcycle Trailer. Regardless of the combination of Bakkie and Big Trailer or Bakkie and Small Trailer we have Years and Years of experience navigating the Suburbs of Gauteng, Cape Town, The Garden Route, Kwa-Zulu Natal and The Eastern Cape with even our longest Motorcycle Trailers. Sometimes customers choose to meet us outside of their Estate or Complex but that is normally their preference and is done out of kindness but is very rarely a necessity.
